Conscious Communicator Power Word #31 – TRUST (just 150 words)

This week’s 1st Power Word makes relationships work…TRUST!

TRUST is a many faceted concept.

I trust my wife with my life, but I don’t trust my wife if I have to go under the knife to save my life.

For that I would use a specialized surgeon.

Even though I don’t have much of a relationship with the surgeon I TRUST he/she has the skills, knowledge and motivation to do the job effectively.

My wife may have the motivation but certainly not the skills and knowledge.

In leadership and workplace issues I believe we should define TRUST in the following manner:

TRUST is the absolute belief that you have my (or our organization’s) best interests at heart, and that you will do what you say you will do.

Skip’s ability to customize his approach and bring flexibility to our specific needs, situation and unique work environment, gave us just what we needed, when we needed it. He’s been a pleasure to work with and brought our organization high-value and a measurable return on our investment."
