Conscious Communicator Power Word #5 – HELP (100 words or less)

Your fifth Power Word is one of compassion and humility…HELP!

Many leaders have trouble applying this word effectively, in 2 ways.

One is that leaders are often unable to ask for HELP themselves. They feel asking for HELP is a sign of weakness or incompetence, when the opposite is true.

Secondly, I find my clients are not nearly proactive enough in asking their direct reports how they can HELP them do their jobs easier and better.

Therefore, begin to use HELP in your communication more proactively, such as “Can you HELP me with this?” or “How can I HELP you?”
